| SUMMARY: | He was the third child of Ezekiel and Lydia Pennock Hamilton. Charles Hamilton was a very prominent shoe manufacturer. He was a "Dollar-a-Year" man for the federal government in WW1. He lived in St. Louis and manufactured "Buster Brown" shoes. I can remember my father relating stories about him on some of his return visits to Chester County. He died in about 1930. He was married to Florence Nightingale. She was born in Easton, PA. They had at least one child, Nightingale Hamilton. |
