SUMMARY: Christopher Pennock was born in 1650 into a family of Quakers. He married Mary Collet, daughter of George Collet of Clonmell, in the county of Tipperary, Ireland. They had 5 children, one of which was Joseph Pennock. Joseph built Primitive Hall in 1738. Tradition says that Christopher Pennock was in the military service of William of Orange. He was in the service of King William at the Battle of the Boyne, 1690. He immigrated to Cornwall, England. Prior to 1685 he immigrated to Pennsylvania in the Americas. He bought 5,000 acres of land from William Penn and came to Philadelphia 1681-1683. He died in Philadelphia in 1701.
